Do I need to create an account?
We recommend to register in order to use all the features of the application.
Your account
Your email address will be your SBDI account login. The email address is required for resetting your password and for receiving communications from us.
You will not be able to log in until your email address is confirmed.
An "account activation" link will be emailed to the address provided. You need to click this link, in order to complete the registration process. Note, you may need to check you spam/junk mail folder, as activation emails sometimes get caught by mail filters.
Password Policy
A secure password will be at least 8 characters long.
The characters in it must satisfy at least 3 of the following 4 requirements:
- upper case letter, e.g. A, B, C
- lower case letter, e.g. a, b, c
- numerical digit, e.g. 1, 2, 55
- special (non-alphanumeric) character, e.g. $, *, #, &
The chosen password will be compared to a list of commonly-used passwords. If the password appears on the list you will need to choose a different password, as the password is too easy to guess.
Your email cannot appear in the password.
The password will be checked for groups of characters that are well-known and widely used. If these are found you will need to choose a different password, as the password is too easy to guess.
